Give Me Jesus Journal

Four years ago… I clicked “post” with trembling fingers and launched a vulnerable piece of my heart into the world: the Give Me Jesus Journal. This journal had been the culmination of years of striving in my walk with the Lord. I’d longed to know Him more deeply through the Word, but I just couldn’t […]

If we could sit down together over coffee and talk about all that we’re learning lately, we would share with you how the Lord has challenged us to choose joy and hope amidst trial and struggles. Some little things and some bigger things alike have snuck in and tried to steal our joy over the […]

ASCENDING CALVARY Last fall we introduced a new study entitled He Is: Experiencing the Power of Jesus’ Name. This beautiful fictional narrative was written by Kara Holmes, Gretchen’s sister. It combined elements of a fictional story with truth from Scripture, and we spent the time leading up to Christmas digging into the names of God. […]

Everything was in place for the perfect morning quiet time. The coffee was freshly made and had just the right amount of creamer. The candle was lit on the table nearby. My Bible was opened to John 5 as I’ve been going through it passage by passage. My Give Me Jesus journal was beside me, and […]

Give Me Jesus… Friends, we cannot fully explain the joy and excitement behind this particular launch because it would take us far too long! Four years ago I sat down with a pen and my journal and wrote out a list of big dreams I believed the Lord had placed in my heart. I remember writing them down feeling the weight of their impossibilities on my shoulders. Even with these impossibilities running through my head, I wrote with passion […]

In the midst of her insecurities, her distracted heart, and her sleepy eyes, He came with truth, redemption, and purpose.

Before I begin, I want to get something out there: I don’t have all the answers. I am almost two years into this journey of motherhood and four years into marriage. I still have a lot of growing, maturing, and learning to do over the coming years! However, what I do have to offer is my own personal experiences over these past few years, and a heaping amount of grace that God has placed on my head and heart as I’ve sought Him in the highs and lows of marriage and motherhood.
