I grew up in a church that regularly sang the song “Celebrate, Jesus Celebrate”! (for anyone of you that knows this song, it might be in your head all day:) But do I actually live a life that celebrate Jesus? It seems that we have belittled celebrating to only the big things. But what about the little things? What about the tiny things God is doing every day in our lives for His glory?
According to the Dictionary, celebrate means:
Celebrate [sel-uh-breyt]: to make known publicly, to proclaim
According to the Philippians 4:4, celebrate means:
Celebrate [chario]: to rejoice, be glad, thrive, to be well
I want to be known as a woman who celebrates, is exceedingly glad with my Savior and joyful everyday. As Psalm 145:7 says, I want to celebrate God’s abundant goodness and sing of his righteousness! That is what I created this piece of art. It is from a quote by Calvin Miller: Celebrate the little things.
In the midst of the word “celebrate” are tiny words of things we daily miss. God is in the little things. Let’s notice them, see His mighty works and celebrate!
