Today’s “A Life Lived Beautifully” feature is on Charissa Steyn!
Meet our new shop manager, Amelia!
The following post is written by my dear friend, Emily Riley. I asked her recently to share her story of redemption from an eating disorder. Women and men all over the world struggle with weight and having an incorrect body image. Most people struggle with disordered eating, but never tell anyone of the hidden bondage. We easily hide our image struggles behind a guise of “healthy eating,” exercise, and even self confidence, when on the inside we are aching and in a prison. It is my desire to bring light to this dark, hidden area. I, too, have struggled with an eating disorder and have found immense freedom that can only be found in Christ alone (read my story here). As we open up our hearts vulnerably, I pray that Jesus would shine brightly and lead others into a life of freedom and authenticity.
I am excited to feature Jessica Honegger, the founder of Noonday Collection, today! I was able to hear Jessica speak at the Influence Conference last fall and love the vision behind Noonday! Noonday empowers women all over the world to create and provide for their families through making beautiful jewelry and accessories. They marry women’s love for fashion with justice and the power of the gospel in a beautiful way! I have one of the spring line necklaces (the Sonrisa necklace) and absolutely love it! The jewelry Noonday makes is high quality and gives you, as the buyer, an opportunity to share the greater vision of this mission! I know you will be blessed by Jessica’s bravery to step out in faith and start this incredible mission.
Last fall at the Influence Conference I met several women who I have been able to keep up with and be inspired by ever since! One of those ladies was Kelly Halsch. Kelly and I were able to talk for a while at the conference and she shared her story with me. Kelly is one of those women whose joy and passion for life and Christ is contagious! She writes on her blog Legacy of Beauty and is also the author of several books. All I can say is, grab a box of tissues, a cup of coffee, and cozy up as you read Kelly’s story and encouragement. It is a powerful story of redemption and hope!
Each Friday we take time to share a story of a woman who is living her life beautifully for the glory of God. These features have become a favorite part of what I do! Each woman’s life has truly been an inspiration to me and I am grateful to share of their faithfulness. This week’s “A Life Lived Beautifully” feature is Rachael Homcy, founder of Thryve Magazine. I have had the privilege of writing two articles in previous issues of the magazine and have been incredibly encouraged by the depth of each article! I highly recommend this magazine and know that you will be encouraged by Rachael’s story today! Grab a cup of coffee and cozy up as we chat with Rachael.
Last September, our lives changed forever with the taking of one test. I had been feeling unusually tired and my husband noticed that I would frequently get dizzy. In my mind, I just figured my body was doing its usual crazy thing right before that time of the month. Little did I know, something extremely different was happening in my body. God was knitting together a precious child in my womb.

Friends, It is such a joy to write this post while I sit at the beach with my husband. We took a week to get away and be refreshed. This week has looked like a LOT of sleeping, laughing, resting, and enjoying the beauty of creation. Exactly what I needed to keep going with all […]
