COLOSSIANS | WEEK TWO

You can print the PDF of Colossians here.

Day One: Read Colossians 1:1-2. What is the context that Paul was writing the book of Colossians? How does Paul identity himself and who is he writing to? What does the message of “grace and peace” teach us about God?

Day Two: Read Colossians 1:3-8. In ten words or less, write a summary of what Paul is saying in these verses. What is the hope of the gospel that Paul is referring to? How did Epaphras’ faith influence the church in Colossae? How does your faith impact your community?

Day Three: Read: Colossians 1:9-13. What was Pauls’s prayer for the believers? Why would it be important to “walk in a manner worthy of the Lord”? Underline the words “all”, “every”, and “fully” in this passage. What do these absolutes teach you about God, your Father? How does the death of Christ change your identity?

Day Four: Read: Colossians 1:15-20. Who is Jesus Christ? How does understanding who Jesus is give us hope in this life? How does the cross of Jesus Christ bring us peace?

Day Five:  Read: Colossians 1:21-23. Who are we before Christ? Who are we because of Christ? What role does your faith have to play in your walk as a follower of Jesus?
