Gospel-Centered Closets

Biblical Womanhood

Is your heart weary today? Does your soul feel broken, shattered from the trials of life? Let us remember His nail pierced hands that bear the marks of suffering so that we might be able to walk in eternal life. No heart, no body, no mind has ever been broken to the degree of being unfixable by the hands of our wounded Savior.

The Beauty of Broken Praise

Biblical Womanhood

As I loaded the laundry in between having gone to the gym, answering emails, writing a to-do list, and texting with my mom and sister, the Lord reminded me of the importance of doing our work well. I have a tendency to section off my days, overload them into with things to do, and place unrealistic expectations on my hours.

In My Bones

I began 2014 with a heart to make much of Jesus in Life Lived Beautifully, but I had no idea what that would look like. I began selling art prints and watercolor stationery in […]

Selah And Sickness

Piled high everywhere my eyes could see…they were waiting for me. Monday, Tuesday, AND Wednesday’s dirty dishes were not only in the sink, but on the counter, on the stove and on the table. Pots stuck with tomato sauce, coffee grounds in the sink, batter from the pie I just made dried on the counter. […]

Dirty Dishes & Worship

Reading: 1 John 5:20-21 The song “Come Thou Fount” has always been dear to my heart. It is as if the lyrics capture my daily spiritual life. Come Thou Fount of every blessing tune my heart to sing Thy praise. Streams of mercy never ceasing, call for songs of loudest praise…prone to wander, Lord I feel […]

Worship God {Day 18}

Motherhood

Modesty. It’s an age old word that makes most people cringe on the inside, even in the church. Debates about modesty have divided believers while most ideas of its’ meaning have no true Gospel foundation. The term modesty has always seemed to be a mysterious word that is tiptoed around but never grasped or studied. Most people are afraid to embrace the subject and others reject whatever it might mean. When I was younger, the term modesty always brought to mind the picture of a nun or Maria from the Sound of Musicfully covered from head to toe with no color or creativity. This didn’t sit well with my love for fashion!
