One of the most famous love stories in the Bible is found in the book of Ruth. As a young girl, I would read this story and dream of my Boaz to come. I wanted my love story to be just like this one. However, it wasn’t until years later that I began to learn there is a greater purpose to this book of the Bible. It is not just a love story about Ruth and Boaz, it is a love story about Christ and His people. It is one thread of the beautiful gospel of God’s grace.
This study was the first one I wrote for the LLB shop, and it will always be one I consistently go back to remember God’s incredible love for His people and sovereignty in every event in life. As we continue to write and work on the new Flourish study on the fruit of the Spirit (launching late summer!), I want to go through this beautiful book together as a community. Many of you participated in this study when we went through it in Fall 2014, and I would love for you to join me again and pray for fresh eyes as we go through this book together.
We will begin studying on Monday, June 20th, and will study Monday-Friday for 4 weeks. I will share on Facebook Live once a week with the group and will post daily on Instagram.
