What’s your first reaction when the unexpected comes your way? Some of us grip tight to an illusion of control, only to lose patience and sleep as we anxiously deal with the challenges. Others escape to what’s comfortable, avoiding reality at all costs. Many of us cower in fear and shame, silently blaming ourselves for all that’s transpired. And some take matters into their own hands and deal with the pressures of this world in such a way that leaves them dry, empty, and exhausted. But there has to be a better way.
Martin Luther asserts, “Faith is a living, daring confidence in God’s grace, so sure and certain that the believer would stake his life on it a thousand times.” A definition like that captivates us as much as it convicts us. Though we may yearn for this kind of faith to be our first response and an ongoing description of our lives, when we look in the mirror, we sense how far we fall short of sure, certain, daring confidence.
Join Us This Lenten Season
This Lenten season, join us as we study Hebrews 11 and 12 and examine the lives of the men and women of the Old Testament who endured by faith in our newest study, Confident: Enduring by Faith in Christ. As we study the men and women in the Hall of Faith, we will see how confidence comes as we actively put our trust in God’s promises, as we live by faith in the face of uncertainty and suffering, and as we turn our eyes to our sovereign, eternal Father, recounting our secure place in his hands.
Here’s what you can expect from Confident:
- 7 weeks of study on the faith stories of Hebrews 11, taking you from Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday
- 5 days of study each week along with 1 day of reflection to complete during the weekend to further process what you’ve learned about faith

- A heart check to be completed on Ash Wednesday that will help you begin your Lenten season with a specific area of growth to consider as you observe Lent

Confident: Enduring by Faith in Christ Details
Can I do this study if I’ve never observed Lent before? Yes! Lent is for every woman that wants to go deeper in her relationship with God. This study is created to help you do that.
When will the study be available? Confident: Enduring by Faith in Christ is available today! Copies are limited, so be sure to order early to ensure you get yours.
Will there be a restock if the study sells out? With the current instability of the paper market and global supply chain, there are a lot of factors that go into whether or not we are able to restock. We’d love to restock if we can, but it will ultimately depend on these factors. Your best chance to get the study is to order as soon as possible.
Will there be a Spanish PDF available? Yes! Confiada: Permaneciendo por la fe en Cristo is available for download today.
Will an English PDF be available? We don’t offer digital versions of our studies in English at this time.
When does the study begin? The seven-week study begins on February 28, the week of Ash Wednesday, and wraps up on April 17, Easter Sunday.
Can I do this study with a group? Yes! We have a free Leader Guide available for download for you to use to study with women in your local community. The Leader Guide will walk you through facilitating discussion for each week of content. There’s also a weekly Bible verse that your group could memorize together.
Will we be going through the study in the Facebook community group? We will, and we’d love for you to join us!

Kids Cards FAQs
What content do the cards cover? They’re written to teach your child about faith, endurance, and confidence in Christ through the illustration of running the race of faith toward the finish line of Jesus. They’re great to use during the Lenten season, but they aren’t Lent-specific, so you can use them any time of year!
How do I use the cards alongside the study? Each card includes teaching on the same themes you’ll be learning about in the study. Use the FREE downloadable Parent Guide to build a faith-themed Lent experience for your family, incorporating two faith cards per week along with Lent-themed activities and our Journey to the Cross weekly Scripture reading.
Is there one Kids Card for each day of Lent like there was for Advent? No. This is a twelve-card set, and the parent guide will help you create a full Lent experience with your family.
Do I have to do the women’s study to use this resource? These cards can work as a stand-alone product. However, they’re designed to help women share with their children from the overflow of what they’re learning in the study.
How long will each day take? Each day only takes a few minutes to complete, but our goal is to inspire thoughtful conversation about Jesus that will encourage gospel conversation with your child throughout the Lenten season.
Will I need anything else? Just the cards and your Bible! The cards use the ESV Bible, but any translation will do.
What age are the cards meant for? Cards can be done with kids as young as preschool with a parent’s help or through middle school with kids completing the cards either with their parents or on their own.
Grow Your Confidence in God’s Faithfulness
I pray that through this Lenten season, you’ll grow your confidence in God’s faithfulness by witnessing the faith of those recounted in Hebrews 11. By considering their endurance, you’ll discover tests of self-examination that will cultivate a life of faith. I hope that you’ll be reminded that your confidence is not in yourself or in what you can do. It's in Jesus, the Son of God, who took on flesh and offered himself for the payment of your sins to deliver you from death. Your confidence rests in his forever position as High Priest, welcoming you to his throne of grace, interceding for you, sympathizing with you, sitting until that day when he rises and returns to bring you home.
May the God of endurance and encouragement strengthen your hearts with grace, that you may abound in hope, producing lives of faith that glorify him.
