COLOSSIANS | WEEK THREE
You can print the PDF of Colossians here.
Day One: Read Colossians 1:24-29. How do Christ’s afflictions impact your calling? What is the mystery that has been hidden for ages? How does “Christ in you, the hope of glory” impact the way you live? (Verse 27) What does it mean to struggle “with all his energy”? (Verse 29)
Day Two: Read Colossians 2:1-5. Why is it important that the church has unity? What riches do all believers have? How was Paul present with the church even when he was absent in body? How do you wrestle for the sake of the spiritual growth of others?
Day Three: Read: Colossians 2:6-10. Explore the ideas of walking in Christ and being rooted and established in Him. How do these visuals impact the way you live? How does the fullness of Christ contrast the empty deceit of the world?
Day Four: Read: Colossians 2:11-15. Read Deuteronomy 10:16 and Romans 2:29. What do these verses express about spiritual circumcision? How does the believer take part in the crucifixion through the “putting off of the body of the flesh”? How has the work of Christ on your behalf redefine your identity? How does Christ disarming the rulers and authorities, referring to the spiritual forces of evil, give you hope in this life?
Day Five: Read: Colossians 2:16-19. How can religious observances keep us from experiencing the “substance that belongs to Christ”? What are some ways you’ve felt “disqualified” in the past? Where does true spiritual growth come from?
