Life is so short, and the Gospel is so good. Why would we not share it with others? Jesus told us in Matthew 28:18-20 to go and share the good news with all people and all nations. As well-watered women, we have opportunities every single day to share the love of Christ with the world […]
Lying on the cold airport floor, shaking and vomiting, wasn’t exactly how I thought our mission trip to Madrid would begin. As I lay there with a wet rag on my forehead, my team huddled around me and I could hear my baby crying nearby, wanting me to hold him. In that moment, I knew […]
This post was written last January and this morning the Lord reminded me once more of the words He spoke to me when I wrote this. Your mission is now, friends. Not tomorrow. He calls us to be faithful in this day. May we grab hold of the mission to know Christ and make Him known as we go throughout our days.
My heart rejoices today writing this post! For months we have been praying about a ministry Life Lived Beautifully can support. Through a series of incredible circumstances and connections, the Lord led us to Kupendwa Ministries.
Comfort is a peculiar concept. Even just this afternoon, I couldn’t wait until I could change into my comfy clothes after a day of travel and work. Comfort in many ways represents rest for us safety and security. Comfort is most often the road that leads to spiritual satisfaction that turns into spiritual complacency and ends up in the dead end of spiritual ineffectiveness. It is a downward spiral crafted by this world to make us crave the temporary and miss the eternal in today. Satan wants us to jump on the comfort bandwagon. There is no thrill, no risk, no extreme life lessons in comfort, just soft t-shirts, cozy bedspreads, hot showers, and bowl full of mac n’ cheese (all the things I run to when I just want to be comfortable).
The Lord has been challenging my heart lately with this question. I dug up this post from last fall and was convicted and challenged once again. I pray that you are as well as we ask ourself the question – what if?
The “estate sale” sign caught my and made my heart start pumping quickly. All the good deals starting rushing through my head and I began to feel the urge to go right away. I love a good garage sale. My mom taught me to be a bargain shopper at an early age and we still love sharing our deals with each other! I have only been to two other estate sales in my life – one was completely overwhelming and one was completely underwhelming.

“ And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” Luke 9:23 (emphasis mine) “Whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may […]
