Knees In The Rock

Planted Bible Study

The Lord has been challenging my heart lately with this question. I dug up this post from last fall and was convicted and challenged once again. I pray that you are as well as we ask ourself the question – what if?

What If?

Studying the Bible

“Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” ~Psalm 37:4 In high school, I took comfort in this verse in the wrong ways.  When I discovered it, I took it as a chance to “get what I want” from God. I believed that since I was in church, […]

A Heart That Delights

Studying the Bible

Amy Carmichael, missionary to India, wrote a short, powerful book called “If.” I recently read it along with my quiet time and ended the book with one more question in mind: What If? Love Trumps Fear {Day 13}

Studying the Bible

Modesty. It’s an age old word that makes most people cringe on the inside, even in the church. Debates about modesty have divided believers while most ideas of its’ meaning have no true Gospel foundation. The term modesty has always seemed to be a mysterious word that is tiptoed around but never grasped or studied. Most people are afraid to embrace the subject and others reject whatever it might mean. When I was younger, the term modesty always brought to mind the picture of a nun or Maria from the Sound of Musicfully covered from head to toe with no color or creativity. This didn’t sit well with my love for fashion!

Biblical Womanhood

“…When Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.” ~John 13:1b As Holy Week begins, my heart has been wrestling to grasp Jesus’ unending love. A love that wasn’t just words, but […]
