Project: On Purpose

January 15, 2015  - By Gretchen Saffles

Days go by with long to-do lists, burdensome worries, and distracted hours where I forget to live on purpose. You may know exactly what I mean when I write that. There are so many needs screaming for your attention that it is easy to do all the things that don’t matter, or to do things without a heart of joy and purpose. Christ came that we might have a new life in Him – one where the mundane is glorious and the everyday influences the eternal. I recently read “Glimpses of Grace” by Gloria Furman and was reminded in so many ways that Christ can be treasured in the everyday routine of life. Whether you are a single woman in college or the work world, a stay-at-home momma with children who have endless needs, a married woman with a job and a husband to love, or at any place in-between, God has a purpose for you in this season. Let’s not miss the glorious joy of treasuring the gospel right where we are today!
I had the privilege of sharing how God is teaching me to live “on purpose” with my friend Sarah. She helps lead a beautiful  ministry called “Project On Purpose” where she encourages women to live their lives intentionally. I hope you enjoy this podcast and that God begins to stir in your heart a desire to live on purpose right where you are today!
