Ephesians: Grace Upon Amazing Grace

August 31, 2015  - By Gretchen Saffles

The gospel changes everything.

I grew up in church with a dad who was a pastor. At the age of seven I committed to follow Jesus and the Lord redirected the path of my life. I knew that Jesus mattered and that following Him changed the way I lived my life. However, it wasn’t until my college years that I truly began that the gospel wasn’t just a one-time day of salvation kind of thing. The gospel changes everything. It changes the way I live as a wife, momma, entrepreneur, friend, daughter, and sister. It changes not only my attitude, but also my outlook. The gospel should be the energy that makes us move throughout the day and the blood that flows through our veins. The gospel changes everything.

This truth is still sinking deep within my soul. It will take all the days of my life to truly understand the glorious implications of Christ’s sacrifice for us on the cross, but I am willing to spend my moments treasuring Jesus and striving to know Him more and more. There is no greater gift than the access we have to the throne of God through the cross.

For the month of September, I would love for you to join me in studying the book of Ephesians. The glorious gospel that changes our lives is woven throughout this text. God’s grace upon amazing grace is the highlight of this book. You can grab your reading guide here and follow along through Instagram and Periscope! During this season of life I can’t commit to blogging every day, but I will post as often as possible! Excited for you to join in! I would love to hear what you are learning through comments. I am grateful for this online community of women who are seeking to make much of Jesus and know Him more.

Grace + Peace to you, friends,

Gretchen
