If prayer is such a beautiful habit, why is it so difficult to find time to pray? How do we actually pray continually? Why do we pray in the first place? We’re sharing some thoughts and encouragement on prayer as we prepare to walk through Breathe this week.
“Jump!!” they called out beneath me, cheering me on. My toes dangled over the edge, but my body leaned backwards and my hands gripped the rock, clinging for dear life. What on earth am I doing? I questioned myself and began to doubt my ability to make a good judgment call.
We can easily feel intimidated by the whole of Scripture if we don’t know how to begin or why it’s important. But the Word of God is intended to grow us in the image of God and encourage us in our faith. We’re sharing more today on the areas of life that Scripture can speak into!
We can’t look to other people to find the hope that only Jesus can give us. We have all “failed” and fallen short of God’s glory. But the hope we have is this: Christ Jesus never fails.
We’ve so enjoyed studying Flourish the past three weeks. We’re recapping our week Three on Joy, and asking the Lord to reveal His grace to us so that we can walk forward, rejoicing always. Proverbs 31 is infamously known in the church as the “perfect woman” that we should all strive to be. Without realizing it, we have created this woman into a to-do list that no one can achieve in life. She has become the standard that is unattainable. We often don’t know quite what to do with her. How do we truly live out biblical womanhood in a world that is constantly changing? There are countless teachings that object to a woman who is submissive, gentle, creative, servant-hearted (as seen in Scripture and in the Proverbs 31 woman).
