Walk in Grace Romans Launch

It's likely you've heard or read some of the shinier parts of Romans, those straightforward verses that carry the truth of the gospel with clarity. Verses like, "But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Rom. 5:8). Or, "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Rom. 6:23). Or, maybe best of all, "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" (Rom. 8:1).

But if your experience with the book of Romans has ever gone beyond the curated texts mapped to lead you on a road to salvation, it's even likelier that your brain turned into a string of question marks. What is this Gentile/Jew thing happening? Why focus such attention on Abraham and Adam? Why does Paul ask so many questions?

In a culture ready to answer any and all questions with the touch of a screen, we've been primed to resist the way Scripture intentionally stretches our minds. In a media-filled world, we're prone to grab onto those pocket-sized verses and forgo the long work of discovering its context and receiving its punch. And in our fast-paced, distracted time, we've developed the muscles of keeping up while forgoing the ones that require us to sit still.

Study the Book of Romans With Our New
Walk in Grace Journals

Our new Walk in Grace Romans Journals train you to go against the grain of our culture. They will help to grow more acquainted with unanswered questions, to see the whole rather than the part, and to endure in the patient, life-giving work of knowing God through his Word.

Romans is not a simple book, but it is rich with the glories of the gospel when we do not shy away from digging deeply into its intricacies. It is not a book of the Bible that will be fully understood in one study. Don’t forget that the Holy Spirit is with you as you study God’s Word and that one of the essential purposes of reading the Bible is to experience the hope offered in the truth of the gospel. You will not understand everything about Romans when you finish, but you will “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Pet. 3:18a).

HOW DO I USE THE WALK IN GRACE JOURNALS?

Our Walk in Grace Journals walk you through an entire book of the Bible and equip you to study Scripture on your own. The book of Romans is a two-part journal series, Walk in Grace Romans 1–7 (seven weeks long) and Walk in Grace Romans 8–16 (eight weeks long). In this two-part journal series, you’ll work through the book of Romans passage by passage. Each day leads you through close study of the text through intentional questions, reflection, application, and prayer. The journal format is similar to our signature Give Me Jesus Journal, as each day prompts you with Today’s Gratitude, Be Still & Know, Drink Deeply From the Well, Ask & Apply, and Pray the Word sections. Bundle both new journals together to save and study the entire book of Romans.

CAN I GO THROUGH THESE JOURNALS WITH A GROUP?

Yes! While we won’t be going through Romans together in our Facebook Community Group, we love the idea of you gathering with women in your church or local community to talk through your answers weekly. However, you can also use the journals for individual study. Also, be sure to download the free printable PDF of the entire book of Romans from the Resources section of our website to use while you study!

WHAT ELSE IS RELEASING WITH WALK IN GRACE ROMANS?

In addition to the two-part journal series, you’ll find the Walk in Grace Romans Verse Cards. This set of fifteen verse cards corresponds with the weekly memory verses in the journals. Additionally, we have a brand-new resource accompanying this launch—Lunch Box Sticky Notes! We designed these sticky notes specifically for you to encourage your kids with truth as they go about their days when they head back to school. You could also stick them on their bathroom mirror, in their bags as they head to sports practices, or anywhere else you want to remind them of truth!

WHAT IS THE FORMAT OF THE WALK IN GRACE
ROMANS VERSE CARDS?

This 4x4 verse card set features key verses from Romans that will become a framework for recalling the truth of God’s Word in the midst of your everyday life. They have the Scripture on the front and the first initial of each word on the back. This memorization tool will help you know God's Word and meditate on the powerful gospel truths found in this theologically rich book.
