James: Week 3

January 19, 2016  - By Gretchen Saffles

We are on week three of memorizing the book of James together and my heart is still so excited about this! Having a goal to work toward together is beautiful. Already I have noticed that I am using my “free” time more intentionally to think on the Word. The other day I started saying the verses out loud to our seven month old and he stopped crawling and just stared at me. In that moment, I realized that through saying Scripture and learning it myself, I will also impact the life of my son and those around me. I believe God is going to do a mighty work in our hearts as we meditate on Truth!

This week we are memorizing James 1:5-6-

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.

Continue to review your previous verses as you move forward. You can also download your free lock screen to use on your phone to serve as a continual reminder of the verses!

You can find the original post and memory plan here as well as the Be Still and Know memory journal I am using to take Scripture with me as I go here!

Have a blessed day, friends!

your sister,

Gretchen
